| FIREARMS
TRAINING |
Basic
Revolver Handgun Training: 27 Hours
| This
course is designed to teach the beginning student all
aspects of revolver and semi-auto pistol use. All requirements
will be met for the Louisiana State Police Concealed Handgun
Permit. Includes safety, nomenclature, maintenance and
cleaning, operation of the firearm, legalities, use of
deadly force, ammunition and equipment, orientation to
the shooting range, loading and unloading techniques,
shooting techniques, range qualification, child access
prevention and written tests. |
| Semi-Automatic
Pistol Training: 32 Hours |
| This
course is designed to teach the beginning student all
aspects of revolver and semi-auto pistol use. All requirements

Revolver/Semi-Auto Pistol training, or equivalent, prerequisite.
Students will fire their weapons with live rounds directly
into the "larger-than-life-size cinema screen"
for the most realistic involvement in real-life, stress-filled
situations. |
| Louisiana
State Police - Concealed Handgun Carry Permit Course:
9 Hours |
| This
course is designed for applicants for the Louisiana State
Police Concealed Handgun Permit as prescribed by the Louisiana
state statute. If is not designed to teach an applicant
how to shoot, but rather only handgun safety. |
| Intermediate
Handgun Training: 8 Hours |
| Provides
practical, realistic training beyond the basic course.
This training is designed for the serious shooter who
wants to know how to use his/her gun like a professional.
Includes advanced shooting, drawing and firing, one-hand
loading and shooting, reloading and stoppage drills, multiple
targets/multiple shots, and shot timing. |
| Advanced
Handgun Training |
| Intermediate
Handgun training, or equivalent, is a prerequisite. This
training is the ultimate in handgun instruction and is
intended for the serious shooter who wants to learn and
practice how to use his/her gun in self-defense, safely
and effectively, at home, on the street and in a car.
Includes firing on the move, room, stairs, hallway search
techniques, flashlight use while firing, shooting from
your car (carjacking countermeasures), and low-light stress
firing. |

| DEADLY
FORCE I |
| Basic
Revolver/Semi-Auto Pistol training, or equivalent, prerequisite.
Students will learn escalation and de-escalation of force techniques,
cover and concealment, having a plan, reactionary gap in stressful
situations, exiting the kill zone and positive self-talk. Students
will also learn application of appropriate shooting techniques
to shoot situations, ability to use cover concealment movement,
verbal challenges, tactical retreat and reloading techniques. |

| Basic
Revolver/Semi-Auto Pistol training, or equivalent, prerequisite.
Students will learn threat assessment, thought processes, analyzing
tactics, building searches, vehicle stops and dynamics of confrontations.
Students will also become involved in utilizing tactical positioning,
control measures, observation and vigilance. |
